At Mestré, the Marseilles process is brought back to live. Its a secret !...
| |
As in the past....We manufacture all the saponifaction using the process of hot coating as was done formely in Marseille during centuries. |
| |
Mixing the vegetable oils (olive, Coprah, Palm) with soda at very high temperature and without using chemical additives in order to be able to control the natural reaction.
The saponification gives a paste in fusion at 110°, terribly capricious and only an experienced Master Soap maker can control...
Be careful of the tub’s overflow and risk of projection ! |
| |

As in the past.... after the saponification, the perfumes are added in the hot blend
| |
And the paste is then put into a mould, a wood moulding. |
| |
The soap having a heated perfumed is coloured exclusively with the essential oils, the balms, milk, honey that we add at the end of the cooking process.
| |

| |
As in the past.... the thread cutting will take place 24 hours after, as the soap is soft and lukewarm.
| |
One by one, the soaps are either stamped, either pressed in brass moulds.
| |

| |
As in the past.... a long time will be taken for the drying in wood case which will refined the quality of the soap, once dry will have a more developed perfumed and will last longer during usage. |
| |
All the soaps have a minimum of 8 months for drying before they are put on sales.
A well dry soap last longer and gives all its perfume. |
| |

As in the past.... the final packing is exclusively hand made and a beautiful and noble tub-marbled paper.
| |
With this natural paper, reminding the soap veining, the drying process continues...
It is important to keep the soap in a dry and ventilated place, away from humidity.
| |
Stored in a wardrobe, it adds a delicious fragrance to all your clothes. |
| |

As in the past.... we have a complete control and skills of the creation of our perfumes: subtle mixture of essential oils, of resin and wax exclusively of vegetal origins.
| |
The hot perfumes are poured in the paste at the end of the cooking process ; they thus give a veining aspect with surprising colours as the origin colours of the ingredients remain. |
The creation of perfumes requires the quality of a nose, necessary time for the harmonization of the blending of the essential oils.
